A bank robber collapsed in agony when money he stuffed down his underpants exploded and caught fire as he tried to flee.

As Kenneth Brooks, 42, ran off an explosive security device hidden in the cash went off and his trousers burst into flames.

Brooks was treated for severe burns to his bottom and private parts. Sgt Barbara Jones in Orlando, Florida, said: "Smoke was coming out of his pants." Brooks faces 30 years in jail for robbery.
