A Rockford couple who called police to investigate a burglary at their home ended up being arrested on drug charges.
According to the Metro Narcotics Unit, officers investigating a burglary in the 5000 block of Vineyard Lane on Wednesday found more than 100 marijuana plants in the basement.
The home’s occupants, Eric M. Bleed, 39, and Carrie L. Bleed, 38, were both arrested and charged with violation of Illinois marijuana control act, possession of more than 50 marijuana plants and possession with the intent to deliver more than 500 but less than 2,000 grams of marijuana.

This reminds me once when my small boys were very bad in the swamps of Mississippi and shot a man's cock fighting rooster with their BB gun.
He called the police, and I had to remind the moron cops that I WOULD NOT PAY $3000 FOR THIS LOSS, as cock fighting was illegal, and he should be in trouble too.
