A THIEF was nabbed after he left a Kit-Kat behind in a house he raided.
Dellroy McPhillips, 30, had bought the chocolate bar in a nearby shop just minutes before staging the break-in. But when the owner came home unexpectedly and caught him, a struggle broke out.
McPhillips - who was high on drugs - escaped but police managed to trace him through the Kit-Kat, left behind at the front door.
And yesterday, the heroin addict admitted assault and stealing rings at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. McPhillips - who faces a jail term-will be sentenced today.
